On May 24th and May 25th, 2025,
the Medical Cadets team held our first-ever community car wash as part of our 2025 project: Heartbeat for Hope. The goal was simple but powerful: raise awareness about congenital heart disease (CHD) while bringing the community together to support a meaningful cause.
Armed with soap, buckets, and plenty of energy, our volunteers went door-to-door to educate people about CHD and invite them to join the effort. In just eight hours, we managed to:
Raise $1,000 in donations
Speak directly with 100+ community members about CHD awareness
Spread our mission of making healthcare more accessible through grassroots outreach
Beyond the sparkling cars, what made this event special was the conversations. Each interaction was a chance to share knowledge, answer questions, and remind people that small efforts can make a huge difference in saving lives.
This was more than just a fundraiser — it was a chance to unite the community under a common cause. And this is only the beginning. Together, we’re driving change, one car at a time.
